Article Overview

This article will highlight key differences between Custom Fields on the previous version of SalesRabbit compared to the next generation of SalesRabbit.

Tip: for more detailed information, visit the Custom Fields Help Center Article.

Part 1: Previous Custom Fields

This part briefly highlights capabilities of Custom Fields in the previous version of SalesRabbit.

  • Previously, Custom Fields were editable under "Settings" -> "Custom Lead Fields".
  • From the custom field page, admins could select a type of custom field to build (Text, Dropdown, Toggle, Email are all examples of field types).
  • Then, admins were able to name/edit those fields before publishing.
  • Published custom fields could then be edited on leads by SalesRabbit users from the Web and Mobile app.
  • In some cases, custom field information could also be passed to a connected CRM or through Zapier.

Part 2: Updated Custom Fields

This part provides a brief introduction to the new features related to Custom Fields in the next generation of SalesRabbit.

Tip: for more detailed information, visit the Custom Fields Help Center Article.

  • From the SalesRabbit Web App, navigate to "Settings" -> "Custom Fields".
  • Admins will see a list of their created/active custom fields.
    • Note: custom fields can also be deactivated, in which case, they'll appear under the deactivated list.
  • To create a custom field, click "Add New Field" and a right hand menu will appear.
  • Within the right menu, admins can name their field and select the field type (Text, Dropdown...).
  • Additionally, admins are now able to set a field to "View Only" or "Enable Filtering" on select field types.
    • View Only: the field is visible, but not editable (used to create API fields).
    • Enable Filtering: filter leads by that custom field's criteria on Web and Mobile.
