Article Overview 

This article demonstrates how to use the messages feature from the SalesRabbit+ Mobile App.

Tip: a user must navigate to "Messages" in the mobile app at least once in order to be able to receive messages.


Part 1: Navigate to Messages

Users are able to messages to other users from the SalesRabbit+ mobile app. In order for a user to appear as an option to message, that user must have an active user in the SalesRabbit+ workspace and they MUST navigate to the "Messages" tab in the mobile app at least once. Users will not be able to receive a message until they've completed this task.

  • From the SalesRabbit+ Mobile App, navigate to the "Messages" tab.
  • From here, users are able to message and communicate with other users in the workspace.

Part 2: Send a Message

This part will demonstrate to how send a simple message to another user.

  • Once in "Messages", users will see a inbox of message threads of previous conversations.
  • To send a new message to another user, click the "+" icon in the upper right corner or select the existing thread conversation with that user.
  • Select the user you'd like to send a message to -> click "Done".
  • Use the "Write a Message" text box to draft and send a message to that specific user.
  • Additionally, add attachments and gifs with the icons to the left of the text box.

Part 3: Send a Group Message

This part will demonstrate how to create a group and message that group from the SalesRabbit+ mobile app.

  • Once in "Messages", users will see a inbox of message threads of previous conversations.
  • To create a new group message, click the "+" icon in the upper right corner.
  • If clicking the "+" icon -> select the users to include in the group message to -> click "Done".
    • Tip: easily message members of a specific team(s) under the "Group" section at the top.
  • Provide a "Group Name" -> click "Create".
  • Your new group will be added as an option on the list of previous conversations. 
  • Click that group to send a new message.
  • Use the "Write a Message" text box to draft and send messages to the group. Additionally, include attachment and Gifs with the icons to the left of the text box.
  • Tip: view the members of an existing group by selecting the group icon in the upper right corner of the group message.

Pro Tips

  • Question: Why can't I message someone?
    • Answer: the service we use for chat requires users to first login and access the messages portion of the app to enable them to be messaged. That means, a user cannot receive a message until they have completed that task.
  • If unable to message someone, check the following: Are they an Active user in my workspace? Have they logged into the mobile device and navigated to "Messages?
