Article Overview 

Looking to automate your operations? SalesRabbit+ now has an app available in Zapier!

TIP: This is the first release for Zapier on SalesRabbit+. It will continue to be improved moving forward.


Part 1: Pre-Requisites

This part will explain the pre-requisites required before setting up your Zap

  • Must have access to the SalesRabbit+ API Key page.
    • Requires a Pro or Enterprise SalesRabbit Plan
    • Typically requires the user to be an Owner or Admin level role.
  • Must have access to your own Zapier account.

Part 2: Generate API Key 

This part demonstrates how to generate a SalesRabbit+ API Key on the Web App.

  • From the SalesRabbit+ Web App, navigate to "Integrations" -> click "API Keys" -> select the "Add API Key" button in the upper right corner.
  • Title the new API Key (ex: Zapier) -> select "Create".
  • A new API Key will be generated on the main page.
  • "Copy" the newly generated API key for later use.

Part 3: Zapier Trigger

This section will cover our first release of Zapier and it's capabilities:

  • In Zapier, search for "SalesRabbit+" connector.
  • Select "Connect Account" -> paste the copied API Key (part 2 of this article) into the Bearer token field.
  • Take action when a lead is updated (ex: send a notification to Slack)
  • Push SalesRabbit+ new/updated leads to another platform (ex: transfer SalesRabbit+ data to a Google Sheet).


Build:

  • Trigger “Lead Updated” → Action “Send Slack Message” or update your CRM

Pro Tips

  • Integrations built in Zapier are built by the customer. This means SalesRabbit often has limited ability to support, maintain, and troubleshoot issues with Zapier automations.
  • Zapier is only available to SalesRabbit+ Pro Accounts.
  • Earlier guidance mentioned read-only operations; the newest release adds creating leads. Additional write operations and objects are planned as we expand the connector.⁠⁠​
  • If you don’t see the API Keys page in the SalesRabbit+ Web App, ask an admin to toggle on Integrations permission for your user or reach out to SalesRabbit Support.

FAQ's

  • Why can't I see the API page in my SalesRabbit+ account?
    • The API key page requires that you have a Pro plan. Additionally, this page may require a feature flag to be enabled. Contact SalesRabbit Support to request access.
  • What happens if a webhook fails to deliver?
    • Zapier has built-in retry mechanisms. Check your Zapier task history for any failed deliveries and troubleshooting information.
  • Can I filter which leads trigger the webhook?
    • V1 triggers on all lead create/update events. Use Zapier's built-in filters to process only leads meeting specific criteria.
  • Will this connector work with any CRM?
    • The connector works with any platform that has a Zapier integration. Check Zapier's app directory for your specific CRM.
