Article Overview

In this article, we cover all things Proximity Indicator. How to turn on/off in Roles & Permissions, How to Toggle Map View on via the Mobile Settings, and how to View in Lead Activity.

TIP: Only users with administrative access can make changes to the permissions for Proximity Indicator


Part 1: Enabling Proximity Indicator (Web App)

This section covers how to enable this feature within your roles and permissions section.

  • From the SalesRabbit+ Web App, navigate to the "Settings" dropdown -> select "Roles".
  • Next, determine which role(s) should have the permission to view the Proximity Indicator on the Mobile App.
  • Then, select the correct role and scroll to the Lead section of the permissions until you can see "Proximity Indicator".
    • Using the checkbox on the right hand side of the page, enable or disable the permission for that role.
      • Enabling this feature will allow this Role to view the exact location of a user when they update lead information to ensure users where they are supposed to be.

(Your role names may differ from what is shown above. Best practice is to make sure that anyone that needs to track reps has this toggle turned on.)

Part 2: Enabling Proximity Indicator (Mobile App)

In this section, we show you how to use Proximity Indicator on the mobile app.

  • From the SalesRabbit+ mobile app, click the "User" icon in the upper right corner to open the mobile app settings page.
  • Scroll till you see the "Map" section -> enable the toggle for "Proximity Indicator".

Part 3: Using Proximity Indicator (Mobile App)

In this section, we show how to use Proximity Indicator to check the locations of Reps when leads updated.

  • From the SalesRabbit+ mobile app, click on the "SalesHub" section to access the mobile app map.
  • If you followed the steps in Part 1 & 2 of this article, you will now notice little icon bubbles appear in the upper right corner of your leads and reps leads on the map.
  • These bubbles indicate if the rep was:
    • At location, < 25m (Green check mark)
    • Nearby, < 100m (Yellow check mark)
    • Out of Range, > 100m (Red exclamation point)
    • Unknown location (Grey question mark)
  • To check the exact location of the rep for a specific lead, select you lead you wish to see that info for, then click details from the pop up.
  • Once on the details page, click "Activity" in the top right hand corner.
  • Finally, lick the logged event that you would like to check the location for.
  • A new pop-up will appear letting you know if the user was in or out of range for when performing the selected event.
