Article Overview
This article will cover how to navigate the user page on the SalesRabbit+ Web App. It also provides step-by-step instructions on how to add and deactivate users in your workspace.
Tip: You will only be able to add/deactivate/manage users if your assigned role has the appropriate permissions enabled.
Part 1: Navigating Users
This part will cover the different features available on the Users tab.
- From the SalesRabbit+ WebApp, navigate to the "Users" tab in the left menu.
-
The Users page allows users to:
- View the number of occupied seats (user licenses) vs. the number of seats (user licenses) the workspace is being billed for.
- View a list of Active or Deactivated users.
- Add/Manage workspace users.
- Selecting a user will pull up that user's detail page. Users with the appropriate permissions (typically admins), are be able to update:
- A user's assigned role.
- A user's team assignment.
- A user's phone number.
- Add an External ID.
- The user's color.
- Be sure to click "Save" to apply any changes made to the user.
- Additionally, admins are able to view a user's "Activity", a historical log of changes made to that user's information.
Part 2: Add a User
This part will cover how to add a new user to a workspace. Only users with the appropriate permissions are allowed to add a new user to the workspace.
- From the SalesRabbit Web App, navigate to the "Users" tab in the left menu.
- Next, select the "Add User" button in the upper right corner.
- Fill out the new user's detail form (First Name, Last Name, Email, Team Assignment, and a designated role).
- After entering the information -> click "Add".
- Note: If a workspace has filled it's number of available seats, you can still add an additional user at any time. A yellow banner will appear at the top of this page indicating that adding a new user will create an additional seat and a prorated charge will be applied to the account.
- Once a user has been invited/added, they will receive an email to accept the invitation. That email will contain a link to set a password.
- The new user will then be listed as an "Active" user and occupy a seat/user license on the workspace.
- The new user will receive an email containing a link to set their SalesRabbit password. After setting their password, the new user will be able to login to the SalesRabbit+ Mobile App and Web App and be able to perform all functions their assigned Role allows.
Part 3: Deactivate a User
This part will cover how to deactivate a user. Deactivating a user means that user will no longer be able to access SalesRabbit unless reactivated. All data assigned to this user (areas, assignments, leads, etc.) will be reassigned to another user. Deactivating a user also reduces the number of seats/user licenses are being occupied occupied.
- From the SalesRabbit+ Web App, navigate to the "Users" tab in the left menu.
- To quickly deactivate a user, select on the three dots to the right of the desired user -> click "Deactivate".
- Alternatively, click "View Details" (or select the user itself) to navigate to that user's detail page -> click the "Actions" button in the upper right hand corner -> select the "Deactivate" option.
- When deactivating a user, you'll be prompted to assign that user's data to another user. Assign the data -> click "Deactivate".
- Deactivated users are visible from the "Users" page under the "Deactivated" list.
- Deactivated users can be reactivated at any time by those with the proper permissions. To reactivate select the three dots icon or enter that user's detail page -> select "Actions" -> "Activate".
- Reactivated users will then become "Active" and occupy a seat/user license.
Pro Tips
- It is best practice to deactivate users before reactivating or adding/inviting new users to avoid going over your seat count.
- If you are unable to manage users, double check that your role has the appropriate permissions and have the correct team assignment.
- There will be more updates to these pages (searching, filtering, etc.) in the future, so keep an eye out for those announcements under our release notes!
